At least 61 killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza as UN sounds alarm over escalating malnutrition. (15 july,2025)

As famine fears grow in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 61 people, including civilians seeking aid, according to Palestinian officials. A strike on the Shati refugee camp left 23 dead, while two women were killed and 30 injured near an aid site in Rafah run by the Israeli- and U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which the UN says has seen 875 deaths during aid access attempts since May. The Palestinian Civil Defence also reported dozens more casualties from northern Gaza strikes. Meanwhile, Israel has ordered evacuations in 16 northern Gaza areas, including Jabalia, fueling further displacement amid worsening humanitarian conditions.

As famine looms and Israeli strikes kill dozens of Palestinians in Gaza, EU nations remain divided on how to respond to Israel's actions.

At least 61 people, including two aid seekers, have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, as the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) warns of rising child malnutrition in the blockaded enclave.

On Tuesday, an Israeli airstrike on the Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza claimed the lives of at least 23 people and left dozens more injured.

In southern Gaza, at least two women were killed and 30 others injured near an aid distribution site north of Rafah, operated by the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is backed by Israel and the United States.

According to the UN, at least 875 people have died while trying to access aid in Gaza since the GHF began operations in late May.

Earlier, the Palestinian Civil Defence reported that its teams had “transported at least 18 martyrs and dozens of wounded since dawn,” most of them victims of Israeli airstrikes in northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military issued a forced evacuation order for Palestinians in 16 areas of northern Gaza, including the heavily devastated town of Jabalia, where residents have been fleeing in fear and chaos.
