The Finance Division has restructured the honorarium rates for officials and employees involved in government recruitment and promotion tasks. Question setters, board members, and committee members will now receive Tk 6,000 each, while other staff will be paid between Tk 800 and Tk 1,200 per day based on their job grade.
The government has revised the rates of honorarium and allowances for officials involved in recruitment and promotion activities across ministries, divisions, directorates, and departments.
On Monday (October 20), the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance issued a circular through its Regulation-2 branch announcing the new rates.
According to the circular, the honorarium for question paper setters has been fixed at Tk 6,000 per person. For evaluation work, the revised rates include Tk 130 for each full written answer script and Tk 35 for each objective-type script. Furthermore, refreshment and meal allowances for examiners and board members have been fixed at Tk 500 per person for lunch or dinner, if necessary, while the allowance for light snacks remains unchanged.
For employees directly involved in conducting written, practical, or oral examinations, the honorarium per day will be:
Tk 1,200 for Grade 9 and above
Tk 1,000 for Grades 10–16
Tk 800 for Grades 17–20
In addition, Tk 50 has been allocated per evaluated answer script, and Tk 3,500 has been set as the honorarium for the head of the examination venue or coordinator designated by the institution’s head.
The circular stated that the order takes effect immediately.
