Quenton Marselles Brown, father of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, was arrested in Las Vegas on Wednesday and charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man multiple times during a parking lot altercation.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident began when Brown reportedly hit the victim’s car, leading to a confrontation. Witnesses said Brown then pulled out a knife and repeatedly attacked the man.
The victim was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Police reports detail severe injuries, including stab wounds to the back and upper chest, a defensive hand wound affecting tendons, a slice requiring partial removal of the digestive system, eviscerated bowels, and a broken right rib that may need surgery.
Brown is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center. It is not yet clear whether he has retained legal representation. Authorities confirmed that he is the father of the NBA player Jaylen Brown.
